The NYAA Gold Award Holders’ Alumni (GAHA) was established in October 1995. From its humble beginnings with just 18 members, today it has expanded into a large base of nearly 1800 members. All recipients of the National Youth Achievement Award (Gold) are automatically members of the GAHA.
The GAHA serves to provide a platform for Gold Award holders to continue contributing to the community together with other passionate and like-minded young people who are eager to make a difference. It works closely with the NYAA Council, and other civil society organisations in spearheading youth initiatives and encouraging a spirit for the community amongst young Singaporeans.
The NYAA GAHA was conferred the Singapore Youth Award (SYA) for Community and Youth Services in 2000, the Commonwealth Youth Award in 2006 and the SYA Medal of Commendation in 2007.
