International Family Meeting of Friendliness in Russia

Fellow GAHA members,
There is an exciting opportunity for us to be part of a unique experience and contribute to the community thereafter. For the past 3 years, selected GAHA members have participated in the annual international friendship / cultural exchange camp held in Russia which aims to
a. Promote the meeting of children, youths and leaders across the world in the spirit of friendship;
b. Allow the participants to learn more about Russia and one another; and
c. Take away from the experience the spirit of kindness and understanding
This year’s camp is name the International Family Meeting of Friendliness (IFMF) and will be held from 3-9 August 2011 (excluding travel time).
We will be selecting 3-5 GAHA members to participant in this year’s camp. Further details are provided below.
Location of campsite: Petrozavodsk
Programme: Includes culture and educational trainings, expeditions, social projects and physical activities. For more details, pls see attached.
Estimated cost (by participant): S$1,700 – S$2,000 (includes airfare and visa application).
Travel expenses from St Petersburg to the campsite and camp fees (accommodation and food) will be paid by the NYAA Council.
Submission requirements: Write-up on (i) What do you hope to gain from this trip; (ii) Past involvement with GAHA and/or other
community-related organizations; (iii) How do you plan to contribute to GAHA/community after returning from the trip (timeline for
the project execution is up to Dec 2011).
Interview: There will be an interview conducted for the selection process. Dates for interview to be confirmed.
